My Story
Ready To Be More?
I’ve made a few questionable life choices.
Getting stronger wasn't one of them.
My name is Jason Ellis.
I'm a dad, a coach, a Strongman competitor, a lifelong work-in-progress, and—depending on the day—a perfectly reasonable human being who may have an unhealthy appreciation for chickens, questionable jokes, and making things considerably harder than they probably need to be.
But there's a lot more to my story than lifting heavy things and making people laugh.
I spent 13 years in prison.
Thirteen years is a long time.
Long enough to change you.
Long enough to force you to confront who you were, who you became, and—most importantly—who you still have the opportunity to become.
When I got out, I had a choice.
I could spend the rest of my life explaining my past...
Or I could spend it building something my future could be proud of.
So I started rebuilding.
One decision at a time.
One workout at a time.
One pound on the bar at a time.
Training became more than exercise for me. It became discipline. Structure. Confidence. A way to prove to myself that I could take something that seemed impossible and make it move.
Eventually, that took me into Strongman.
If you've never watched someone voluntarily pick up something ridiculously heavy and then smile about it, I highly recommend it.
There's something strangely addictive about finding out what you're capable of when your brain is screaming:
"Absolutely not."
But Strongman taught me something much bigger than how to lift more weight.
Strength changes more than your body.
It changes how you carry yourself.
How you handle failure.
How you respond when life gets difficult.
How you see yourself.
And eventually, how you approach everything else.
That's why I coach.
I'm not interested in putting you through some miserable workout because I think suffering automatically equals results.
I'm interested in helping you become stronger, healthier, more confident, and more capable than you were yesterday.
Maybe you want to lose 30 pounds.
Maybe you want to build muscle.
Maybe you want to compete.
Maybe you want to get stronger.
Maybe you just want to walk up a flight of stairs without questioning every decision that brought you there.
All of those goals count.
Because DALE MÁS isn't about looking a certain way.
It's about becoming more.
So what does DALE MÁS mean?
In Spanish, “dale más” roughly translates to “give it more.”
More effort.
More discipline.
More courage.
More consistency.
More of the person you're capable of becoming.
And sometimes?
It means giving more when you really, really don't feel like it.
That's the whole point.
I'm not opening a gym.
Not yet.
Right now, I'm starting with something smaller.
I'm coaching people one-on-one and building something from the ground up.
The goal is to eventually turn that coaching community into a physical home—a gym, a training facility, and a community built around the DALE MÁS mindset.
But I don't want to wait until the doors open to start building the culture.
You're here at the beginning.
That's intentional.
I don't want DALE MÁS to be another gym where everybody technically has a membership but nobody knows anybody.
I want it to be a place where people actually know your name.
Where the beginner and the athlete can train side-by-side.
Where nobody cares where you came from.
Where your starting point doesn't determine your place at the table.
All-inclusive.
But exclusive.
Not exclusive because of money, status, genetics, or how much you can bench.
Exclusive because you chose to be part of something.
Everyone is welcome.
But DALE MÁS is for people who are willing to give more.
More than yesterday.
More than they thought they could.
More than the excuses that have kept them stuck.
You don't have to be strong to start.
You don't have to be an athlete.
You don't have to know what you're doing.
And you definitely don't have to look like you belong in a fitness magazine.
You just have to be willing to start.
I've started over too.
A few times.
And that's probably the biggest thing I can offer you as a coach:
I know what it's like to start from a place you never wanted to be.
I know what it's like to rebuild.
I know what it's like to fail.
And I know what it's like to keep going anyway.
That's DALE MÁS.
Not perfection.
Progress.
Not pretending life is easy.
Getting stronger anyway.
Not becoming somebody else.
Becoming more of who you can be.
I'm building this one person at a time.
And if you want to be part of it—
Dale más.
Let's see what you're capable of.
